Two Huguenots, both named Terrett, fled to England in the 1560's. One, an undertaker, settled in London. The other, a lacemaker, settled in Gloucester. From these two came the Terretts of England. The Terrett family that I, John Terrett, descend from, lived in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. I was born near Cinderford, Forest of Dean. My father, Anthony Terrett, married a Greek girl, Fotini Panayiotopoulou.
